Forrester Research CEO George Colony, speaking at the LeWeb conference in Paris, identified social saturation as the main reason underlying his poor prognosis of the social web.

Is marketing ruining social media? I’m interested to see the responses we get on this one, considering that many of you are marketers to one extent or another. There’s no questions that social media presents a plethora of marketing opportunities, many proven to be highly effective, but what about users? Is the experience suffering?
